Zoning and Future Land Planning
Navarre Beach has always enjoyed a less developed, quiet beach community character. As opposed to Destin or Okaloosa Island, Navarre Beach has a much smaller multi-family and commercial element.
Future land use plans continue this tradition with a high percentage of the open lands dedicated to conservation and recreation. There are limited significant development parcels remaining on the entire island. This coupled with the high single family home component, assures Navarre Beach will remain the tranquil and serene beach destination on the Emerald Coast.
